Planting Your Ehretia: The First Two Weeks After Delivery

By Muhammad Hamza · Published · Updated

Ehretia cone plants growing in full sun

The first two weeks decide how well your Ehretia settles in. The routine is short: plant in sweet soil, add fertilizer, water well for two days, then go back to normal watering.

On the day it arrives

Check every plant while the driver is still there. If any plant is damaged, tell the driver at that time and we replace it. Once a delivery is accepted we cannot take claims for damage, so this step matters.

Planting steps

  1. Choose a spot in full sun. These are outdoor plants.
  2. Prepare sweet soil (fresh, low-salt garden soil mixed with compost). Make sure the planter or planting hole drains well.
  3. Plant the Ehretia and add fertilizer.
  4. Water well for the first two days.
  5. After two days, go back to normal watering. Check the top 2 to 3 cm of soil before you water.

Through the first two weeks

  • Keep the plant in full sun and avoid moving it around.
  • Use the soil check instead of watering on a fixed timetable. See the watering guide.
  • Leave the shape alone for the first days, then start a light weekly trim. See trimming and shaping.

If something looks wrong

Yellow leaves are the most common question we get. They usually point to watering or drainage. Start with our guide to yellow, brown and falling leaves.

Ehretia Cone, 70 to 250 cm

An Ehretia cone is an Ehretia microphylla plant trained into a tapered cone that adds height and structure. We supply it from 70 cm to 250 cm including the pot, for driveways, walls, entrances and project planting across the UAE. Delivery takes 2 to 3 days.
